I just love this stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps! There are different words you can put on the license plate and they now have a set of people and items to put in the car.
I used Crystal Effects to make the windshield nice and shiny like glass.
This picture sort of shows how I popped up some of the parts of the image to give it a 3-D look. I stamped the image on another piece of paper, colored it, and cut out the convertible roof, the license plate, and the bumper. I then used dimensionals to mount them on the original image that I had already colored.
This is the inside of the card. The bug squashed against the windshield is pretty small and I wanted it to be a little more prominent so I stamped the image and the bug image and then enlarged it a little on my copier. You can't really tell in the pictures but I used orange and red Stickles on the brake lights and shimmery paint on the bug's wings. Both images were colored with markers.
This same friend asked me to make a card she could send to her boyfriend's grandmother who is having a tough time. She had found a poem about a cardinal and wanted a card to go with it. Here's the simple card I came up with:
The ribbon looks a little screwed up but it actually sits a little better IRL.
On the inside of the card I just printed the poem onto vellum, folded it in half and taped it to the back inside of the card.
