Summertime Girl

Thursday, April 22, 2010

Wow, it's been a while since I posted a card! I've been busy with life and my mojo took a little vacation. I've also been making cards for a new shop that's selling them for me so a lot of my energy goes there and I don't always get pictures of them before I take them to the store.

Anyway, this little cutie pie stamp was just too adorable for me to resist. I thought she looked like a little girl out playing in her yard so I chose paper that looked like summer to me. DP is DCWV Citrus Pack and the stamp is by Stampavie that I got at 7 Kids College Fund.

Thanks for taking the time to visit!

Prairie Fairy DT Call!

Sunday, April 11, 2010

It's time for another Prairie Fairy DT call! Check out all the details HERE.

Purple and Yellow Fairy

Thursday, March 25, 2010

One of the challenges I'm entering this in calls for complimentary colors (from the color wheel) so I went with purple and yellow for this adorable little fairy image from Prairie Fairy Designs.

I colored the image with Copics and used Lilac Avenue DP from Kaisercraft. The purple buttons are from my stash. Just a real clean and simple card.

I'm entering this card in two challenges:
Fairy Fun Fridays - complimentary colors

Thanks for stopping by!

You've Got Mail

Friday, March 5, 2010

Aren't these just precious?! I used a Lauren Meader template to make these two mailboxes for a couple ladies I'm going to brunch with on Sunday. I filled each one with Easter candy to give them a sweet surprise.

I also made these two cards to coordinate with the mailboxes. I just love these Heather Ellis images. She is illustrating stamps for My Favorite Things, but you can find her digital images on Etsy. I'm entering the GREEN card in two challenges:

Copic Creations: Color something green

Fairy Fun Fridays: Color something green

Cards Recipe:

Digi Stamps: Heather Ellis

Cardstock and DP: Papertrey Ink

Coloring: Copics

Thanks for stopping by!

Brown and Aqua

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

I LOVE brown and aqua (and brown and blue, and brown and turquoise)! I saw this paper on another crafter's blog and just HAD to have it. Unfortunately it was from 2008 and wasn't being printed anymore. The hunt was on! I finally found it on eBay (thank heavens for eBay!) and bought a bunch of it so be prepared to get sick of seeing it. Even though I have a stash of it, it was still really hard to cut into it. But I did it and didn't even cry.

I saw one of those home made flowers on another crafter's blog and just had to try one. It's easy with the blossom Nesties - just cut the paper, crinkle it up, and throw a brad in the middle.

Recipe:
Cardstock - Papertry Ink Aqua Mist
Designer Paper - Cloud9
Stamp - SCACD
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Brad - The Hobby House
Pearls - KaiserCraft
Coloring - Copics

FFF Time!

Thursday, February 25, 2010

Sadly, this is my last Fairy Fun Friday *sniff*. But the fairy came up with a great color challenge for us based on the Olympic colors and I had fun putting this card together. It doesn't look like it in the picture but all the greens really do match!

The image is "OMG!" from Prairie Fairy Designs and can be purchased HERE. I think she's on the phone talking with her girlfriend about who won medals at the Olympics! I colored the image with Copics. The flowers were originally white but I colored them with Copics to match my color scheme. The velvet ribbon is from my stash.

We'd really love for you to join us this week at Fairy Fun Fridays so come check out this week's challenge HERE. It's fun and there are always prizes involved!

Blog Candy!

The Prairie Fairy blog has hit 400 followers so the Fairy herself is giving away some great candy! In addition to the items pictured, there will also be your choice of three digi stamps from her store. The Fairy is too good to us! So head on over to the blog and enter to win!

Celebrate!

Monday, February 22, 2010

I can't begin to tell you how much I love this image! It's from Mo's Digital Pencil and I think it's perfect for any kind of celebration. She just looks so joyful!

I colored the image with Copics, the DP is PaperTrey Ink, and the buttons are from Basic Grey's Bittersweet collection.

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments!

Teen Girl

Thursday, February 18, 2010

It's Fairy Fun Friday time again! This week the challenge is to use buttons and brads on your project. I found these heart buttons in my stash and thought they were perfect. My card fits the challenge because the middle heart is actually a brad!

The image, of course, is from Prairie Fairy Designs and I colored it with Copics. The designer paper is a digital download from Nitwit Collections. I just love their digi papers! The velvet ribbon is from my stash and I got the buttons at Michael's.

Be sure to check out the Fairy Fun Friday site to see what the design team has come up with for this challenge as well as enter your own project! We'd love to have you come play with the fairies!
