Wednesday, December 1, 2010

Prairie Fairy Designs is having a moving party! She's moving back to Blogger and wants to spread the word. In case you don't already know she has some of the best digital images around. And she's super nice too. So go check out her new home HERE. She's got some DELISH candy up for grabs.

Digi's With Attitude! DT Call

Wednesday, November 24, 2010

Don't you just love Grumpy Gretchen?! In this image she's either had too many martini's or not enough! She's from Digi's With Attitude! and they're having a DT call. You can find out all the information HERE.

I colored her with Copics and I'm not too sure about the pinks I used. I tried a new combo and I think the darker pink is a little too dark. Oh well, live and learn! I used a Zig Painty Pen on the silver stool legs and gave a coat of Viva Decor Glass Effect Gel on the martini and her shoes. The DP is old from my stash and I'm not sure who makes it. The satin ribbon is from Michael's. I used a new Martha Stewart border punch also (thanks Mom!).

If you decide to enter the DT call ... good luck!

I'm entering this in the Digi's With Attitude! challenge #8 which calls for pink, black, and silver (pink dress, black stool seat, silver stool legs).

Thanks for stopping by!

Kenny K DT Call

Sunday, November 21, 2010

Kenny K is having a DT call and you're supposed to pick out a couple cards to showcase what you can do. Of course I've selected a wonderful image from Kenny K and a completely different kind of card. I LOVE images by Kenny K because they're different than anything else that's out there and they're super fun to create with. He doesn't just have saucy images like the ones I have on my blog, he also has sports and music images and he's coming out with even more on November 28th.

You can check out how to enter the DT call HERE.

New Release!

Thursday, November 18, 2010

It's exciting over at the asylum because there are two new images available this month! Just in time for those holiday cards and projects we have Renaissance Maddie (which I used on my card) and Holiday Princess Maddie along with some great sentiments.

Aren't they wonderful?! And to make it even easier to pick up your favorite stamps there will be a sale going on in the StampInsanity store! November 26th through November 29th all stamps will be reduced by 30%! Just use coupon code: CyberBlack2010. You can't beat that! So get those stamps and get cracking on those holiday cards and projects.
This week the challenge over at the StampInsanity blog is to follow a sketch. I colored my image with Copics and used Basic Grey designer paper. The border punch is by Martha Stewart and I used her new glitter glue on the flame of the candle. I punched the snowflake out of acetate using a Martha Stewart punch and covered it with her white glitter glue. I love that stuff! Similar to Stickles but the tip produces more of a fine application and the glitter is finer.
Here's the sketch for you to follow to join in the challenge:

Be sure to come join in on the fun! Because there's a new release, all the DT members have projects so be sure to check them out. The links are on my sidebar. Enjoy!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club - Snowflakes
Stamp and Create - 'Tis the Season
Sweet Stampin' - Snowflakes
Totally Gorjuss - Traditional Christmas Colors

StampInsanity Punch Drunk Love

Thursday, November 4, 2010

This week the challenge over at the StampInsanity challenge blog is to use your punches. Although you might think, after looking at my card, that it was to use as much glitter as possible! I have green glitter all over my desk, on my pants, on the floor, even on my dog!

I colored the image, which you can get as a stamp set HERE, with Copics and added Liquid Applique to the fur trim on her outfit and hat. The snowflake punches are by Martha Stewart and I used MS peridot glitter as well. I used Smooch on her earings and the paper is from my stash and I'm not sure who makes it.

Get out your punches and join team 2 this week! Also check out the other DT creations for some great inspiration. You'll find the links on my sidebar for team 2. Have fun!

Challenges I'm entering my card in:
OSAAT - Christmas
ABC Challenge - G for Glitter
A Spoonfull of Sugar - Relish to Embellish
Paper Sundaes - Cards for Men
Stamp and Create - Christmas

Naughty or Nice?

Thursday, October 21, 2010

I just LOVE the new Christmas images from Kenny K! I couldn't resist this sexy minx.

I kept the card pretty simple because I wanted her to be the main focal point. I colored her with Copics and the sentiment is computer generated. The white fur on her outfit is covered with polar white Flower Soft. The DP is from an unknown Christmas collection.

Think Pink!

If you didn't already know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so the challenge on the StampInsanity blog is Think Pink! For my DT card I used this fabulous image and sentiment from the Katie set from SI. You can purchase the set HERE. We've had some amazing entries for the challenges so we hope you'll join us! It doesn't have to be a card for someone with cancer, it just has to have pink on it. How easy is that?!

I colored my image with Copics and added a healthy amount of Martha Stewart glitter to the ribbon. The DP and the pink CS are both from Papertrey Ink. The organza ribbon is from Joanne's (thanks Mom!) and the pin I won in a contest. I finished it off by adding Diamond Glaze to her sunglasses.

For this term the DT has been split into two wards and we alternate challenges. I'm on team 2 so please check out all the other beautiful creations from the designers on team 2. You can find their links on my sidebar.

Caroling

Sunday, October 10, 2010

This card features one of my all-time favorite Christmas stamps. It is from Motivet and I just love everything about it.

I colored the image with Copics. I found the sheet music for "Deck the Halls" online and I printed it out and shrunk it down so that it would fit on the card. I inked the edges and crinkled it up before affixing it to my base. I'm not sure who makes the DP but I thought it was perfect because it has the names of Christmas songs on it. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I colored them with Copics too.

I cut out their hands holding the music and popped them up on foam dots.

And here's the inside of the card. Again, I used a sentiment that is the name of a song just to carry the theme all the way through.

New Release at StampInsanity!

Thursday, October 7, 2010

First of all I'm super psyched to say that I made the DT at StampInsanity - whoot! Second of all it's Thursday again which means it's time for a new challenge over at StampInsanity! The challenge this week is to trick it or treat it (kind of like naughty or nice). Make a card or other project that involves a favorite technique or a Halloween theme. So get crafty and link your project HERE. AND third of all, we're showing off NEW IMAGES that are available in the StampInsanity store HERE. The new release is called Devil Dolls:

Aren't they all yummy?! I got to play with Hilda for the challenge this week and this is what I came up with:
I really don't think these images are limited to Halloween but I decided to use a Halloween theme on my card. After seeing the picture of the card, however, I was disappointed. Don't you hate it when the picture of your card doesn't really look like the card does in real life? The inside of her cape and her hair is actually a pretty purple color but in the photo it looks more blue. And I spent a lot of time shading her and it doesn't really show up in the picture either. Grrr! Oh well, it is what it is I guess. I had a really fun time coloring her though!

I kept the design pretty simple because I really wanted Hilda to shine because she's so groovy! I colored her with Copics and you can't tell from the picture but I put purple gems on her arm bands for some added bling. The ribbon I won from Fantastic Ribbons and I tied the bow using the Bow Easy that I got HERE.

To see more of the images from the new release check out the other members of the DT listed on my sidebar. We've been broken into two teams but for this new release we're all creating projects this week.

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in honor of that StampInsanity has a digi set available HERE. You can read about the set HERE. All proceeds are donated to help with breast cancer research.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time
The Crafty Pad
I Did It
